Yesterday, the baby girls went in with the big girls. Everything seems to be going quite smoothly at the moment. The little girls are keeping their distance, sensibly.
FYI, Bianca is the pure white chicken, Imogen the toffee coloured one. You can see that they are quite a bit smaller than the big girls.

I thought of keeping chickens once, and then scared myself off reading about all the diseases they could get!(Vet's Bills! Our aged cat costs quite enough!)
My brother and sister-in-law moved to Ireland and have a farm. They say the chickens are like pets, and he sent me a photo where they were all balanced on his ourstretched arms!!!
We took 2 chickens to the vets when we first had them. But now we know there are only 2 types of antibiotics they can have, and I research problems online. That keeps costs down. My daughter sits on the swing with a chicken on her lap having meaningful conversations. They're excellent pets!
