Father Christmas was very generous and brought me an Ashford drum carder. Here is my very first handspun from a batt I carded myself. It started off as a red/orange/yellow blend, and I carded it with a leaf green.

So now of course, I need loads more wool. I ordered 12 colours of merino wool (basic colour wheel) from www.forestfibres.co.uk to start me off.

    Those colours are really beautiful and really do look autumnal. Do you have a project in mind for it?

    Thankyou. Yes, one mitten is already finished and I need to prepare some more yarn for the other one. You worked out where your drum carder went, then?!!
